Chevron Station In Violation of Conditional Agreements
September 2009
Several concerns have been raised about the Chevron Station operating outside of the conditional use permit (CUP) hours of operation. In addition to operating the gas pumps and store before and after the approved operating hours, concern about the lighting and increased traffic have surfaced. At this time the City of Vancouver is aware of the issues and is pursuing a resolution.

In the most recent exchange of information, David Scott, Director of Development Review Services for the City of Vancouver wrote: "Failure to abide by the conditions of approval is a violation of the code and can subject the owner to fines. Ultimately, continued failure to comply could lead to revocation of the CUP. We have communicated with the owner regarding closing at 10 pm. We will be communicating formally with them again ASAP and in detail about what it means to be closed at 10pm until 6 am. We are hopeful that we will gain voluntary compliance from the owners and that we will not have to invoke fines or possible revocation."

FCNA is very concerned about this situation and is working with the City of Vancouver to enforce the current CUP and serve the interest of our neighborhood.
